The Workshop

Team culture work that doesn't
feel like a workshop.

Culture Compass alternates between reflective workshop components and coached physical exercises — run inside Unbound Athletic's training space. Your team writes anonymously, votes on what resonates, and builds a shared values statement from their own words. Not a facilitator's. Not a poster on the wall. Theirs.

Third Axis runs the facilitation. An Unbound Athletic coach runs the physical components. The contrast between thinking and moving keeps energy high, breaks down hierarchy, and surfaces honest responses.

Session Flow

90 Minutes. Nine Components.
Two Modes.

Workshop components build the thinking. Exercise components reset the energy. They alternate throughout.

1
0:00 Workshop
Welcome. What is culture?
A case study seeds the concept of culture without prescribing what it means for your team. The group discusses someone else's values before turning the lens inward.
2
0:10 Exercise
Active warm-up
Led by the Unbound Athletic coach. Gets the group physically present and ready for the reflection work ahead.
3
0:20 Workshop
Mapping our reflections
Everyone responds to four questions — anonymously, on post-it notes, around the room. Wide generation. No editing, no discussion.
4
0:30 Exercise
Individual break points
Individual physical challenges that surface a key insight: different people excel at different things. While the group exercises, inputs are clustered on the wall.
5
0:40 Workshop
Endorsement round
Dot-vote on the responses that resonate most. The first filter — moving from wide generation to collective prioritisation.
6
0:50 Exercise
The challenge
Individual challenges where each must be completed by a different person. The group works out who is best placed for each task.
7
1:00 Workshop
Validation
The group sees its prioritised outputs for the first time. Top responses are validated collectively — this is where ownership begins.
8
1:10 Exercise
Group challenge
Two teams compete using the full range of individual strengths identified across the session. Energising, competitive, and the perfect warm-up for the final component.
9
1:20 Workshop
Reflection and values statement
Everything comes together. The group uses its 12 validated outputs to write a shared values statement — the back of the t-shirt (25–50 words) and the front (3–7 words).
What You Leave With

Real Outputs.
Not a Slide Deck About Values.

📄

Shared Values Statement

A statement your team wrote themselves — the back of the t-shirt (what you stand for) and the front (the phrase that captures who you are). Built from their words, not a consultant's.

💬

12 Validated Culture Inputs

The group's top-voted responses across four questions — prioritised, clustered, and validated by consensus. Raw material you can keep working with.

Questions

Before You Book

Does my team need to be fit?+
No. The exercise components are coached and fully scalable. The physical work is designed to shift energy and surface team dynamics — not to test fitness. Everyone participates at their level.
What do participants need to bring?+
Comfortable clothes they can move in, a water bottle, and the willingness to be honest. Everything else — materials, space, facilitation — is provided.
Is everything really anonymous?+
Yes. Post-it note responses are unsigned, and dot votes are personal. The only time the group works openly is in the final component, when they collectively draft the values statement from the validated outputs.
What happens after the session?+
Within one week you receive an insights package: the polished values statement, summarised outputs, facilitator observations, and a recommended next step. A 15-minute debrief call follows.
Can we run this at our own venue?+
The workshop is designed to run at Unbound Athletic in North Lakes, QLD. The physical space and coaching are part of the experience. If you have specific requirements, get in touch and we'll work through options.
How many people can participate?+
5 to 10 per session. This keeps the workshop dynamic tight enough for genuine consensus and small enough for every voice to be heard. Larger teams can run multiple sessions.
